THE PRINCIPAL TEAM

David Keates, Managing Director

David began his fruit and vegetable career in retail at the age of 16 and by 19 moved into the wholesale sector at the Brisbane Markets.

In his early 20's, David travelled extensively throughout Europe and completed marketing and self-management courses.  David worked as Sales Manager for one of the largest freight management companies in Europe and this gave him a good taste of the corporate world.

Upon his return to Australia, David had a calling to return to the exciting world of wholesaling at the Brisbane Markets. It was in May 1997 that he started the business and since the beginning has grown Quality Fruits from strenghth to strength.

He specialises in pome and stone fruit marketing.  David has developed an extensive supply/customer base within the business and brings a unique and highly specialised perspective to Quality Fruits.

As Managing Director, David is also responsible for the day to day operations of the business along with his wife Angy Keates who is Business Manager.

TRADING TEAM

Tim Rose, Ben Andary and Alex Mack

Handpicked for their sought after skills, big personalities, and energetic approach to the job, the Trading Team are a force to watch in action.  They combine strong industry knowledge, commercial prowess and an amazing ability to think on their feet to deliver successful outcoes for all parties. 

STOCK CONTROL

Shane Cooper, John Grosser

Shane and John provide the vital and tricky service of ensuring stock numbers match with actual product numbers. With over 10 000 cartons of produce moving through the business every week, this isn't a small feat.

COMPANY LOGISTICS

Justin, David, Lindsay, Geoff, John, Adam, Jason and Stuart are responsible for orders being packed correctly, stacked appropriately and delivered on time.  Led by Justin, this role is one of the most crucial, as customer satisfaction is directly impacted by how well they do their job.  Quality Fruits are proud of the integrity and attention to detail these boys bring to their job.

ADMINISTRATION TEAM

Susannah Campbell & Janelle Greenfield

Susannah Campbell is one the business's assets. her knowledge of the operations, her loyalty to the business and commitment to providing top service to all make her a company superstar.  The administration team is responsible for all aspects of business administration, including accounts payable, receivable, business reporting, cashier and account servicing.
